The Holy Spirit has been stirring in my spirit a word as it relates to His perfect will for our lives. I find that many Christians today really lack awareness as to what God wants for their lives. God has ordained a specific plan for your family, job, finances, who you are to marry, and every area of your life.
The Bible tells us to “stand perfect in the will of God” (Colossians 4:12, Romans 12:2). In other words, when God introduces you to His will, there will come things against you that will try to remove you from His will. During this time, you must stand fast and know that this is the will of God for your life. No matter what your flesh is saying, what other people are saying, you must stand still in God’s will.
Now, in order find out what God’s plan is for your life:
- You must be willing to move when God calls (Genesis 12:1-4).
- You must act on what God is saying to you (1 Kings 17:1-7).
- You must never look or go back (Philippians 3:13-14).
- You must hook up with mentors that have the same assignment (Joshua 1:1-5).
- You must discover your passion and allow God to be glorified in it (2 Corinthians 4:7).
Following God’s will ultimately boils down to a love issue…how much do I love God? Are you willing to change, stop, and rearrange your life, trust God and obey His voice? Never forget, you are on the earth as a result of God, because of the plan of God, to do the will of God, and have it manifested in your life. The Bible tells us that “we are not our own” (1 Corinthians 6:19). I urge you today to get in the presence of God and allow Him to show you where you are as it relates to His will. You do not have to be confused, misguided, or ignorant when it comes to your life. Proverbs 4:18 assures us that “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”
